Councilman Anibal Ramos Jr. announced today that residents will be able to recycle their electronic waste on Saturday, Nov. 8 at Elwood Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

"Primero que nada quiero agradecer profundamente a todos los comerciantes y residentes que participaron en el Foro de la Comunidad celebrado el pasado 20 de Octubre en la Iglesia Imaculada Concepcion en Woodside Ave. sobre este Proyecto. Este foro se llevó a cabo con el propósito de proveerles a los comerciantes y residentes la oportunidad de interactuar directamente con los Oficiales de la Cuidad de Newark, NJ con mayor conocimiento en los diferentes aspectos de este Proyecto como la Oficina de Servicios al Vecindarios, Departamento de Policía, Departamento de Bomberos, Sanidad y el Departamento de Ingeniería de nuestra Cuidad."

Councilman Anibal Ramos Jr. issued the following statement on the Mount Prospect Avenue streetscape improvements.

“First, I want to thank everyone who came to our Oct. 20 community forum at to learn more about the streetscape improvements on Mount Prospect Avenue. We held the forum to give residents and business owners the opportunity to interact directly with the city officials who are the most knowledgeable about the various aspects of the streetscape improvements, including neighborhood services, the police and fire department and the city engineering department. I think it was an incredibly productive meeting with many important issues raised that will be addressed by the appropriate city departments.
