I am a parent who lives on n 10 th st I son has a basketball court out on the st where all the neighborhood kids play . They do not bother no one they play they do not cause any problems. And today Newark police came to try to take there court away . And give me a 500.00 fine for being the owner of they court he called for back up 6 cop cars came 12 police officer were there . Now my thing is that the kids are not doing anything wrong. Staying off the street corners . They have no place to go and play as parents what are we to about this we pay our taxes . There is more crime being done in Newark for them to be out here harassing the kids like they are doing something wrong I drive in the streets of Newark and see basketball courts in the streets all over so why is it a problem for them to have one .
We hope to hold a small “opening” celebration on the first Friday and hope that you and or your staff will turn out in support of the Arts and the Rec Center. On Monday, I will be dropping a small package of promotional material at your Mt Prospect St office.

On Lake Street. Between Ballantine Parkway & Berkeley
Several Potholes.
Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. Between State Street and Bloomfield Ave
Please order repaving for Ridge Street between Elwood and Delavan Avenue due to excessive potholes. Thank you for your device. Kind regards,
Please be advised that there are deep potholes all along Grafton Ave between Mt. Prospect Ave and the entrance to Route 21 South. More major potholes can be found along the road from Route 21 South, Exit 5 all the way to the entrance to Route 21 South at Grafton Ave. It is very dangerous as people often go into the lane of opposing traffic trying to avoid these potholes. Hoping this can be remedied soon. Thank you,
In the last snow storm, the streets were NOT PLOWED NOR SALTED…
I have to wash my clothes by hand because I can’t take the cart to the laundromat because of the piles of dirty icy snow.. GOD WILLING there won’t be any more snow falling and once the garbage melts away, I can go to the laundromat once again.
I have a city oak tree in front of my house with two dead limbs extending across the sidewalk. I’m really concerned that someone may be seriously injured walking by should one of these break off. My home is at 239 Elwood Ave. and there is a lot of foot traffic walking under these branches. Please help me with this situation.
