MT. PROSPECT AVENUE NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
AT PRESS CONFERENCE, JUNE 14 AT 1 PM
Neighborhood Improvement District is first to be formalized
under Mayor Booker's Administration

Newark, NJ - June 14, 2007 - Mayor Cory A. Booker will join Council Member Anibal Ramos, Jr. (D-North Ward) to announce the formal establishment of the Mt. Prospect Avenue Neighborhood Improvement District (MPANID), the Mt. Prospect Streetscape Project and other road improvements on the avenue at a press conference on Thursday, June 14 at 1:30 PM. The MPANID extends from Bloomfield Avenue to Tiffany Boulevard and represents the first improvement district formalized under the Booker Administration. The Council Member will announce new services in this area, including street cleaning and the marketing of small businesses that will be available as a result of MPANID.
