One of the greatest assets we have in the North Ward are the recreation programs we offer for our youth.

Just One Soccer, The North Ward Center Little League, the North Newark Little League and the Liga Roberto Clemente de Newark Little League are holding registration for their spring seasons.

I sponsor a number of teams in all three leagues and can attest to the quality of these programs.

Many people in our community volunteer their time to these programs to ensure our children have access to recreational opportunities. 

I encourage you to register your children.

The Liga Roberto Clemente de Newark is holding registration from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 21 and Saturday, February 27 at the Vince Lombardi Center 201 Bloomfield Avenue, Newark. The Little League program is open to children from 6 to 15 years old. The cost of registration is $60. You must bring cash or a money order and three current proofs of address. The North Ward Center Little League is holding registration Monday - Friday from noon to 4 p.m. at their main building, 346 Mount Prospect Avenue. For more information, call 973-481-0415.

The North Newark Little League is holding its registration Friday, February 26th from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at First Ave School, 214 First Avenue. Returning players can register online, new players must register in person. For more information, visit northnewarklittleleague.com.

Just One Soccer is holding registration on Friday, February 19 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, February 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Waterfront,  2 Grafton Ave. Newark.
