Councilman Anibal Ramos Jr. announced today that applications for Carrino Plaza apartments are now available on his website.
Carrino Plaza is a new four-story, mixed-use development with 60 affordable housing at 416-426 Broadway, the site of the former Boys & Girls Club. Construction is scheduled for completion in December.
Ramos today held an information session at the Vince Lombardi Center that attracted more than 150 residents interested in learning more about the opportunity.
"From what we saw today, there is great interest from the community in Carrino Plaza's affordable housing units," Ramos said. "There is clearly a demand for high-quality, affordable housing in Newark and I'm glad to see this many units coming available in the North Ward."
