Councilman Anibal Ramos Jr. announced today that residents will be able to recycle their electronic waste on Saturday, Nov. 8 at Elwood Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Residents will be able to recycle old TVs, PCs and laptops, printers, appliances, phones and other e-waste, although large appliances such as refrigerators and ovens will not be accepted.
"This is a great opportunity for residents to discard no-longer used electronic equipment in a environmentally friendly way," Ramos said.
The event is being sponsored by Panasonic, Covanta the City of Newark and the Urban Renewal Corp.
