Blizzard 2016

Newark was hit with more than two feet of snow. Please let us know about the City of Newark's response to the storm. Let us know what street you live on, what time it was plowed and whether it is passable now. We'll forward any complaints about streets not being plowed directly to administration of Mayor Ras Baraka. We'll compile this information so we know what the problems areas are for the next storm and work with the administration to better address these areas.

I live on Irving St off of Broadway and my block has not been plowed people cant get out and GODFORBID there is an emergency no one will be able to get through… this is every time is snows bad please get my block plowed

Terrible job done by the city of Newark! A neighbor of mine luckily had a truck with a snow plow and did a better job than the workers of Newark. The snow plow passed by North 3rd street once and never again. Thanks for nothing Newark.

I live on Winthrop St north Newark. My street was not plowed and the street is no where near passable.

Horrible! No plowing at all in the Ironbound section, people are stuck. God forbid there is an emergency.

Terrible terrible!! No salt no plowing. Have to get to work and I wonder how! The city of Newark is the worst. East orange is clean, what’s your excuse!!

Still waiting for plows more the 3 feet of snow terrible all day not even one truck . Maybe the city needs to hire real management people that can plan and figure out what operations are all other city’s by are clean .

Summer Ave and Montclair ave horrible. Halleck is completely covered with snow. Hellar prkwy even worse. A bus almost got stuck on montprospect ave and grafton ave. The streets on the Northward end needs to cleared asap or else more accidents will happen.

I saw a truck come by yesterday but never came back people need to go to work and the street is not passable every time it snow it’s like this street is forgotten I know u guys r trying to get to every street but please clean this street

It’s almost 8 pm we have not seen nor heard any plows. Not sure how we expected to get out for work tomorrow. We can’t even get out to the main road!!!!

What is going to happen with all this snow? Is this city planning on removing the snow and dumping it in the river like years ago? This is way to much snow. It’s to the point you don’t even want to move your car even to go to work because you are afraid to have someone take it. And people can’t walk even though it’s shoveled.

i live on mt. prospect place behind fine fair by2nd ave. it is day 2 if the blizzard and no plow trucks have cleaned the street. i will not be able to pick my son up nore go to work.. please help on my street. its not safe in case of any emergencies

It’s 8pm on Sunday and Main Street has not been plowed yet. No way to get out of here to get to work tomorrow!

Horrible like always. I don’t understand why does it take so long to clean the Main Street. I live on Clifton ave and our street has not seen a plow and its 7:40 pm on 1.24.2014 I need to go to work tomorrow need my street clean please.

Ridge street between heller and elwood ave has become a dead end. There has not been any plowing or salting at all. No one can get out

Newark didn’t respond to the storm! I live on ALEXANDER ST and no plow truck has come as of yet today, Sunday January 24 7:38pm! This is the worse outcome ever!

It is 7:35pm Spring St between Clay Street in Newark still has not gotten plowed..we buried in this block we can’t even move. I told it was going to be plowed between 4 to 5PM still no plow.. I have not seen one yet… I have to work tomorrow and I can’t get my car out.. is the city going to pay me for missing work? With all the taxes that we pay we should have better results..

North 13 Th st , and little st , don’t forget little st , it belongs to Newark, that’s who we paid taxes to. We need the streets to be plow , please help us , we need to go to work tomorrow

I live on Peck Avenue and at 7:30pm my street has not been clean. It is a huge inconvenience to the civilians that have to work, and have kids and need to get around but cannot move there cars due to the large amount of snow on the roads.

N 7th St between 7th Ave and orange ave cars getting stuck and it is impossible to pass. One of them being stuck since noon.

Newark’s plowing system definitely suck! While every other town’s streets are clean. I can’t even move my car without getting stuck. Hopefully by tomorrow it’s drivable because I do have to work to pay taxes right? Not happy at all.

Is funny how the city of Newark didn’t even throw salt the night before yet again there are telling people to stay in there house to clean ya haven’t been doing a good job in the first place . I haven’t even heard baraka say anything but when he needs our vote his all over the city convincing the people to vote for him is ridiculous.
